Between the bearing cap and bearing housing on the LCA. This is in CAD. Essentially, the cap needs to be raised slightly to avoiding pressing down on the bearing. It should press on the LCA instead. As such, the geometry of the shim is fairly complex.
Between the bearing housing and the bearing on the LCA. There was too much slop left in this fit. We just need a rectangular piece of shim to wrap around the bearing. The bearing does not need a very tight fit here.
