Background Information
Give some background information about why we are pursuing this project
Goal
Define the project goalInterior design will be a team comprised of members interested in industrial engineering, user interface, user experience, manufacturing and design. The goal for Midnight Sun's interior design is to blurr the distinction of what a solar vehicle is and what it could be. Venturing to a 4-person vehicle brings many design challenges and opportunity for creative solutions. The goal for the vehicle's interior is to create a comfortable, user-focused design that maximizes practicality while not impairing function. This unique balance of function and aesthetic of this endeavor will require depth into ergonomics, human factors, industrial design, material finishing and manufacturing.
Goal
The goal is to design an interior that is minimalist, yet maximally practical. It should encompass ergonomics at it's core to create a car that is comfortable, usable and mimics a production sports vehicle. Interior design will be driven by spacial constraints to maximuze the practicality score at competition while maintaining safety, aesthetic and driver control.
Project Requirements
Rayce Regulations
These are requirements driven by the Rayce regulations.
- Look through regulations for WSC/ASC and find out if anything might get in the way of the above goal. Driven by ASC/WSC regualtions. TBD
Internal Requirements
These are requirements driven by Midnight Sun.
- List requirement that Midnight Sun is imposing on the projectproject
- Refer to requirements outlines in system architecture ARCH-01
Soft requirements
These criteria would be nice to have but not critical to the project's success:
