We spoke on the phone earlier; my name is Jamie , and I am a co-op student working with the University of Waterloo’s member of the Midnight Sun Solar car teamCar Team. I am emailing to inquire about arranging a possible sponsorship for our team, Midnight Sun (UW's solar car team).To provide some information about us, we are a 30-year-old student design team founded in 1988 and reaching out today to discuss potential sponsorship opportunities between Midnight Sun and [COMPANY] for the upcoming season.
We are one of the largest student teams on Waterloo campus. In the summer of 2018, our team design teams that designs, builds, and competes in competitions such as the American Solar Challenge and the Formula Sun Grand Prix. During our last racing season, we competed at the American Solar Challenge , where Midnight Sun and became the first -ever Canadian multi-occupant vehicle team to complete the ~3000km a 3000km solar car race across the United States.
We are striving to push the boundaries of student innovation. And we can’t do this without the support of others. We are currently manufacturing our next vehicle, MSXV and would like to know if [COMPANY] would be interested in working together to make this happen through a sponsorship.in need of machinists to help machine parts for our Rear Suspension and Steering systems of the car. We are looking for machinists with a 5-axis CNC to help us manufacture a 5th rim for our car ideally by the end of April. We have the CAD and STEP files ready and we are willing to supply the material for it.
