Battery

Battery Module

• Makes up the main pack

• 9 modules in series, each module is 4S8P, each cell is a 21700 LG M50T battery

Bolted to the bottom of the enclosure, 2 bolts for each module (diagonal holes).

AUX Battery

• Back-up batteries for power-up sequence and in case main pack fails

• Heat shrunk 10S1P, each cell is a NiMH battery.

Inside a separate 3D printed box. Box itself is secured on top of the long air baffle.

Boards

AFE

• Handles interactions with main pack

• Reads cell voltages & temperatures.

• Performs load balancing

Mounted on top of three modules using bolts (using heat set inserts on the modules).

Current Sense

• Reads pack current

BMS Carrier

• Brain of the BMS system. Logs voltage, current, temperature, triggers BMS switch.

• Used for SOC model

• Watches our for overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage, undercurrent

DCDC

• Converts pack voltage (HV) to voltage usable for low voltage electrical components (like fans, boards, lights, horn, etc.)

Mounted on top of a module using an adapter plate. DCDC goes onto adapter plate, adapter plate goes onto the module.
