Task

Subtask(s)

When to work on this

Next Term Goal Planning

  •  Determine team leads
  •  Determine goals for sponsorship/SI, finance, and marketing
  •  Determine which activities need to start when

1-2 month(s) before the new term

Master Budget

  •  Review master budgets for previous vehicles (note: be careful of the MS XIV master budget since that one assumed we would obtain donations for most raw materials)
  •  Start by breaking it down by subteam and try to list major items + estimates as best you can before starting to work with the subteam leads on it (most won’t know budgeting since it may be their first time doing it)
  •

Endowment Fund Applications

First or second month of the term

We’ll need to determine if this will be passed on to Sponsorship to handle with the Business lead’s guidance or not.

Onboarding for each Business team

  •  Make sure there’s a process/plan for each team’s onboarding - both for small and large numbers of new members
  •  Make sure there’s an assigned individual if the lead is not handling onboarding

Recruitment (Marketing task)

  •  Determine which subteams to prioritize for recruitment (i.e. which teams require more members)
    •  Note - MEF requires us to have at least 10% of our members from the math department, which includes Software Eng, Math, CS, etc.
  •  Outline how much effort to put into recruitment - are you doing a single post on social media to advertise first general and havng members share it or do you want to do teasers?
    •  We’ve generally done 1 post that provides more info about the team, teasers for the 3 days leading up to the meeting, and a final one on the day of the first general meeting itself
  •

1-2 month(s) before the next term

Kristen’s List of Things to Do for Jieun

  •  Midnight Sun Gmail
  •  Summarize SSDC communication on a page to provide insight into what talking with the SSDC is like
  •  Links to Management sheet, internal book, endowment fun apps, etc.
