Any Chassis mounting locations reservations placed from then on should be approved through Tommy Tran [Mechanical Lead] and the mounting location should be added into the same slides.

  1. First review the Google Slide Deck to see the previously approved Chassis mounting locations. If the mounting location of interest is already taken. Stop there! and find another location. These designs will likely be in their final stages of design or manufacturing meaning no changes can be made to them.

  2. If your mounting location is not taken, create a slide in the Google Slide Deck in the appropriate sub-team location so that it can be easily conveyed to future viewers

    1. You will likely need to contact Tommy to give editing permissions to Google Slide Deck

  3. Contact Tommy Tran [Mechanical Lead] about the proposal. He will look through the slides to give the final approval and ask any clarifying questions if necessary.

  4. Tommy will reply to confirm with you. All done!

  1. Most projects that are high priority and in later stages of design have been APPROVED

  2. Projects that are currently In Progress or have a flexible mounting locations are currently PENDING until details have been finalized and the necessary effort has been carried out to discuss mounting locations with conflicting DRI's/Parts/Dependencies.

  3. If there is anything else that is related to Chassis mounting, please add it to the slides and notify Tommy for review!!!

  4. Structures, Interiors mounting locations need to be finalized by Feb 16 - this is because these often require welding or will greatly interfere with the timeline/sequencing for vehicle manufacturing if delayed

  5. Electrical mountings can more easily be accommodated using other assembly methods such as fasteners, adhesives, mounting brackets, tabs, etc.
