A snap-in mechanism was created using half-circle pins on this part and cutouts on the wire guide. One thing to think about hers is now it will be removed. If you pinch the sides to grab a hold of it, that will force the pins into the cutouts and you won’t be able to remove it. - when the connectors are removed, you should be able to grab underneath the lip and pull the cover off.

Here is a cross-section view of the components attached together to illustrate the locking feature. Since the plastic is pliable, the pins flex around the holes and let the cover come off.
