Work in progress

What needs to be done

  • Find the angles the Nomura MPPT needs to be set at so that it can boost the voltage from the array to the necessary amount

    • The left array will have six nomuras. To ensure that the voltage is 160V each should be boosting to about 26.7V

    • The right array will have five nomuras. They need to be boosted to about 32

...

This test can be done with a variable power supply, multimeter, and a nomura. The Nomura needs an input voltage between 10-30V, so select one from that range. Based on the datasheet for the cells, which can be between 18-33V, it would be best if say 20V was being testedperhaps try 20V. Once that is done, change the position of the second potentiometer (VR2) and measure the output voltage, recording it and how much the pot was changed by. The documentation states that it can manage 11 turns of the pot, so continue to turn the pot until no more rotations can be made.
